About Mission Veterinary Hospital, Family-Run Care Since Day One
In Mission, BC, the animals people love are cared for by a team that genuinely loves them back. Mission Veterinary Hospital is a family-run clinic built on over 20 years of combined experience in veterinary medicine and surgery, open seven days a week so that pets in Mission, Cedar Valley, and across the surrounding community can access the care they need whenever they need it. We treat dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters with the same attentiveness and expertise we bring to every species we see.
Our Philosophy
We believe that wellness is about more than keeping animals healthy in a clinical sense. Our goal is to help pets and the people who love them enjoy vibrant, long, and fulfilling relationships together. That means approaching every visit with genuine curiosity about your pet as an individual, not as a presenting condition. It means taking the time to talk through your questions, explain our findings clearly, and involve you as a partner in your pet’s care.
For Dr. Jatinder Mundi and the entire team at Mission Veterinary Hospital, providing attentive, thorough veterinary care is not simply a professional obligation. It is the reason this clinic exists. That commitment extends from routine wellness exams through to complex surgical procedures, same-day urgent care, and in-home end-of-life services for families who want their pet’s final moments to be peaceful and familiar.
Our team brings a calm, reassuring presence to every appointment. We know that visits to the veterinarian can be stressful for both pets and their owners, and we work deliberately to create an environment where your pet feels safe and you feel heard.
Meet the Team
Mission Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Jatinder Mundi, DVM, whose career spans over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and surgery. Before establishing the clinic in Mission, Dr. Mundi served as an assistant professor at the College of Veterinary Sciences, Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, and practised across Saskatchewan and Alberta before making British Columbia his permanent home. That depth of clinical and surgical experience, built across three provinces and two continents, is foundational to the standard of care this clinic provides.
Community Involvement
Mission Veterinary Hospital has a longstanding relationship with the Fraser Valley Humane Society, a feline rescue and adoption organisation serving the Mission area. Kittens from the FVHS are spayed or neutered at our clinic prior to their adoption placements, helping ensure that every cat placed in a new home starts life with a healthy foundation. Supporting the work of local rescue and adoption programmes reflects the values at the heart of this clinic.
Professional Affiliations
Our veterinary team maintains professional membership in the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), upholding active participation in the national veterinary professional community and staying current with evolving standards of practice.
